You are allowed to drive from 16, but only on a provisional license with a qualified driver in the passenger seat. As a visitor to the UK, if you are wanting to drive then you will need a full license, and you will need to be at least 17.<\/p>\n<p>International licence holders visiting the UK\u00a0can drive on their valid foreign licence for up to 12 months from when they become resident.\u00a0 After that, you have a choice to exchange it for a British licence. &#8211; If you hold other kinds of international licence, you can drive for up to 12 months with it.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a Hong Kong driving licence, you can exchange it for a UK driving license.<\/p>\n<p>\u5982\u679c\u4f60\u64c1\u6709\u9999\u6e2f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\uff0c\u4f60\u53ef\u4ee5\u5c07\u5176\u63db\u6210\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u3002<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/exchange-foreign-driving-licence\/y\/yes\/car-or-motorcycle\/a-designated-country-countries-with-exchange-agreements-with-great-britain\/hong-kong\">https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/exchange-foreign-driving-licence\/y\/yes\/car-or-motorcycle\/a-designated-country-countries-with-exchange-agreements-with-great-britain\/hong-kong<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u4f60\u9700\u8981\u6210\u70ba\u82f1\u570b\u5c45\u6c11 (UK resident)\uff0c\u6bcf\u500b\u65e5\u66c6\u5e74\u5728\u82f1\u570b\u5c45\u4f4f185\u5929\uff0c\u624d\u80fd\u5c07\u4f60\u7684\u9999\u6e2f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u8f49\u63db\u53bb\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u3002<\/p>\n<p>You will need to become a UK resident, living in the UK for 185 days in each calendar year, in order to exchange your Hong Kong driving licence to the UK one.<\/p>\n<p>\u4e00\u65e6\u4f60\u5230\u9054\u82f1\u570b\uff0c\u4f60\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u82f1\u570b\u7e7c\u7e8c\u7528\u4f60\u9999\u6e2f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u300212\u500b\u6708\u5f8c\uff0c\u4f60\u5fc5\u9808\u5c07\u5176\u63db\u6210\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u624d\u80fd\u7e7c\u7e8c\u5728\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u4e00\u65e6\u4f60\u63db\u6210\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\uff0c\u4f60\u4fbf\u6703\u5931\u53bb\u4f60\u7684\u9999\u6e2f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u3002<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u7528FormD1\u00a0\u9032\u884c\u7533\u8acb<\/li>\n<li>\u8cbb\u7528\u70ba\u00a343<\/li>\n<li>\u5c07\u57283\u9031\u5167\u6536\u5230\u60a8\u7684\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u5982\u679c\u4f60\u7684\u9999\u6e2f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u5df2\u7d93\u670910\u5e74\uff0c\u7576\u4f60\u63db\u6210\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u5f8c\uff0c\u901910\u5e74\u5c07\u4e0d\u8a08\u5728\u5167\u3002 \u4f60\u7684\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u662f\u75310\u5e74\u958b\u59cb\u8a08\u7b97\uff01<\/p>\n<p>\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u8d8a\u65e9\u5c07\u9999\u6e2f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u63db\u6210\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u8d8a\u597d\u3002\u9084\u6709\u5229\u7528\u82f1\u570b\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u4f86\u8cfc\u8cb7 \u6c7d\u8eca\u4fdd\u96aa (car insurance) \u6703\u66f4\u5bb9\u6613\u548c\u4fbf\u5b9c\u4e9b\u5c11\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Once\u00a0you\u00a0arrived\u00a0in\u00a0Britain,\u00a0you\u00a0can\u00a0continue\u00a0using\u00a0your\u00a0Hong\u00a0Kong\u00a0driving\u00a0licence.\u00a0After\u00a012\u00a0months,\u00a0you\u00a0must\u00a0exchange\u00a0it\u00a0to\u00a0UK\u00a0driving\u00a0licence\u00a0to\u00a0continue\u00a0driving\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0UK.<\/p>\n<p>You\u00a0lose\u00a0your\u00a0Hong\u00a0Kong\u00a0driving\u00a0licence\u00a0once\u00a0you\u00a0have\u00a0exchanged\u00a0it\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0UK\u00a0driving\u00a0licence.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Orderform\u00a0D1<\/li>\n<li>Thefee\u00a0is\u00a0\u00a343<\/li>\n<li>Licencewill\u00a0be\u00a0received\u00a0within\u00a03\u00a0weeks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your Hong Kong driving licence is 10 years old, once you exchange to a UK driving licence, those\u00a010\u00a0years\u00a0are\u00a0not\u00a0counted.\u00a0Your\u00a0UK\u00a0driving\u00a0licence\u00a0starts\u00a0from\u00a0year\u00a00!<\/p>\n<p>Also, it will be cheaper to get a car insurance with a UK driving licence. start=\"7\">\n<li>\u4f60\u9700\u8981\u63d0\u4f9b\u8b77\u7167\u5c3a\u5bf8\u7684\u7167\u7247 &#8211; \u53ea\u9700\u5c07\u5176\u6383\u63cf\u5230\u96fb\u8166\u4e0a\u4e26\u5c07\u5176\u4e0a\u50b3\u5230\u7cfb\u7d71\u4e0a\u5373\u53ef<\/li>\n<li>\u7576\u4f60\u7533\u8acb\u5f8c\uff0c\u4f60\u53ef\u80fd\u6703\u6536\u5230\u4e00\u5c01\u4fe1\u8981\u6c42\u4f60\u76f4\u63a5\u90f5\u5bc4\u60a8\u7684\u7167\u7247 Licence<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>\u6b63\u5f0f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167<\/strong><strong> (<\/strong><strong>\u7c89\u7d05\u8272<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Once you have passed your theory and driving tests, the examiner will take your provisional driving licence (green) away with them and your full driving licence (pink) will arrive via post.<\/p>\n<p>\u4e00\u65e6\u60a8\u901a\u904e\u4e86\u7b46\u8a66\u548c\u8def\u8a66\uff0c\u8003\u5b98\u5c07\u62ff\u8d70\u4f60\u7684\u66ab\u51c6\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167 (P\u724c) \u5c07\u901a\u904e\u90f5\u5bc4\u5bc4\u5230\u4f60\u7684\u5bb6\u4e2d\u3002<\/p>\n<p>They\u00a0say\u00a0it\u00a0can\u00a0take\u00a0up\u00a0to\u00a0three\u00a0weeks,\u00a0but\u00a0the\u00a0full\u00a0licence\u00a0normally\u00a0comes\u00a0within\u00a0a\u00a0week.<\/p>\n<p>\u6700\u591a\u9700\u8981\u4e09\u500b\u661f\u671f\uff0c\u4f46\u901a\u5e38\u6703\u5728\u4e00\u5468\u5167\u6536\u5230\u4f60\u7684\u6b63\u5f0f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Make\u00a0sure\u00a0you\u00a0have\u00a0your\u00a0correct\u00a0address\u00a0on\u00a0your\u00a0provisional\u00a0driving\u00a0licence\u00a0before\u00a0taking\u00a0your\u00a0driving\u00a0test,\u00a0otherwise\u00a0you\u00a0will\u00a0need\u00a0to\u00a0fill\u00a0in\u00a0a\u00a0form\u00a0and\u00a0post\u00a0your\u00a0provisional\u00a0driving\u00a0licence\u00a0yourself\u00a0to\u00a0get\u00a0your\u00a0full\u00a0licence.<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0you\u00a0are\u00a0waiting\u00a0for\u00a0your\u00a0full\u00a0licence,\u00a0you\u00a0will\u00a0need\u00a0to\u00a0bring\u00a0your\u00a0driving\u00a0test\u00a0certificate\u00a0with\u00a0you\u00a0while\u00a0driving\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0road.<\/p>\n<p>\u5728\u53c3\u52a0\u8def\u8a66\u4e4b\u524d\uff0c\u8acb\u78ba\u4fdd\u4f60\u7684\u66ab\u51c6\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167 (P\u724c) \u4e0a\u7684\u5730\u5740\u662f\u6b63\u78ba\u3002\u5426\u5247\uff0c\u4f60\u9700\u8981\u586b\u5beb\u8868\u683c\u4e26\u89aa\u81ea\u5bc4\u56de\u4f60\u7684\u66ab\u51c6\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167 (P\u724c)\u624d\u80fd\u53ef\u4ee5\u7372\u5f97\u4f60\u7684\u6b63\u5f0f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u3002<\/p>\n<p>It\u00a0is\u00a0free\u00a0to\u00a0change\u00a0your\u00a0address\u00a0on\u00a0your\u00a0licence.<\/p>\n<p>\u6539\u5730\u5740\u662f\u514d\u904b\u8cbb\u3002<\/p>\n<p>(\u00a0<a ID (\u7533\u8acb\u9280\u884c\u6236\u53e3\uff0c\u53bb\u90f5\u5c40\u62ff\u4fe1)\u3002<\/p>\n<p>People in the UK use their driving licence as ID (e.g. applying for a bank account, collecting letters and parcels from the Post Office).<\/p>\n<p>\u5728\u7b49\u5f85\u4f60\u7684\u6b63\u5f0f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u6642\uff0c\u4f60\u5c07\u9700\u8981\u5728\u9053\u8def\u4e0a\u96a8\u8eab\u651c\u5e36\u4f60\u7684\u99d5\u99db\u8003\u8a66\u8b49\u66f8 (pass<\/p>\n<p>driving\u00a0certificate)\u3002<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0full\u00a0driving\u00a0licence\u00a0lasts\u00a0up\u00a0to\u00a010\u00a0years.\u00a0Then\u00a0you\u00a0will\u00a0need\u00a0to\u00a0renew\u00a0(\u00a314).<\/p>\n<p>You\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0need\u00a0to\u00a0pay\u00a0for\u00a0anything\u00a0to\u00a0switch\u00a0from\u00a0provisional\u00a0to\u00a0full\u00a0driving\u00a0licence!<\/p>\n<p>\u6b63\u5f0f\u99d5\u99db\u57f7\u7167\u53ef\u9577\u905410\u5e74\u3002 \u7136\u5f8c\uff0c\u4f60\u5c07\u9700\u8981\u7e8c\u724c
