We have increased visibility and patrols in key locations around Portswood, including the High Street, student areas, and transport routes. Our officers are actively engaging with local businesses, students, residents, and community groups to ensure that everyone feels supported and confident when out and about.<\/p>\n<p>What we are doing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Targeted patrols in the areas where concerns were raised.<\/li>\n<li>Close partnership working with the University, local councils, and community organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Rapid response to reported incidents and ongoing investigations to prevent further harm.<\/li>\n<li>Community engagement officers available to listen to concerns and provide advice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How you can stay safe<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay in well\u2011lit, busy areas, especially at night.<\/li>\n<li>Walk with friends where possible, particularly during evening celebrations.<\/li>\n<li>Keep your phone charged and let someone know your plans.<\/li>\n<li>Report anything suspicious immediately via 999 in an emergency or 101\/online for non\u2011emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>If you feel unsafe at any time, please approach one of our officers on patrol \u2014 we are here to help.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are here for you<\/p>\n<p>Southampton is a diverse and welcoming city, and the Chinese community is a valued part of it.
